ChannelVision recognizes LiveOak’s efforts to serve communities through connectivity.

Brunswick, Georgia – July 19, 2023 – LiveOak Fiber, a regional broadband service provider, is proud to announce it is the recipient of the Visionary Spotlight Award from ChannelVision Magazine. The award in the “Rural and Underserved Connectivity” category recognizes the company’s work building a fiber network to bring affordable, reliable internet services to rural communities of the Southeastern United States.

LiveOak Fiber’s mission is to invest in the communities it serves by delivering the digital infrastructure needed by local residents and businesses in traditionally underserved communities. To address the number of households and businesses that lack access to reliable broadband internet, over the next three years LiveOak will be investing $300 Million to build out 200,000 passings in Glynn County, Georgia and Okaloosa County, Florida. LiveOak has begun work at Exit 29 in Brunswick in June of this year.

In March 2023, the company also announced that services went live in Shalimar, Florida — one of the first communities in Florida to receive LiveOak’s new fiber network services. By providing an affordable fiber connectivity option, LiveOak is enriching the community by fostering new career opportunities and vital digital support through network builds and expansion.
