JR Smith has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, working with direct-to-consumer, business-to-business, regulated, and unregulated products. His extensive exposure to the multiple departments of a service provider has made him a skilled interdepartmental bridge builder, as he genuinely understands all sides involved.
JR joined LiveOak Fiber in November of 2022. Prior to that, he has worked on all sides of the telecommunications industry, including customer service and call center operations, engineering and IT, professional services and project management, finance and regulatory, and product. He holds multiple certifications in Product Management and Network Engineering.
JR is originally from Whidbey Island, a rural island in Puget Sound north of Seattle in Washington State. He now lives in Destin, FL with his wife and daughter. He is a big fan of cinema and in his free time, enjoys going to the movies with his family.
